The Amazing Pace
On October 18th at Catholic Central Secondary School, the Ontario Lung Association held 'The Amazing Pace,' - a timed event just like TV show 'The Amazing Race.' Teams of four were sent on their way with just a city map and bus route schedule, a local transit pass, an Amazing Pace Passport, and a pack of goodies, refreshments and snacks. They raced through London streets solving clues and overcoming Checkpoint challenges presented as Detours and Roadblocks. The event tested almost 30 teams of participants both mentally and physically, as they tried to outwit each other and reach the final Checkpoint in the least amount of time! The London event was one of six events put on by the Lung Association around Ontario, as there were also races in Belleville, Oakville, Stratford, Toronto, and Waterloo.
